Triple Bar Mitzvah

The children of Alumim took part in a Bar Mitzvah celebration for three boys who had turned thirteen‚ which was combined with a special program dedicated to preparations for Yom Kippur. The Bar Mitzvah boys celebrated with their relatives and friends with a festive meal and program in an uplifting atmosphere.
New Dental Clinic

A new dental clinic has opened in Alumim. After the investment of large sums of money on the necessary equipment and much effort into obtaining the necessary permits‚ the clinic was opened during the summer. A specialist in pediatric dentistry comes twice a week to the clinic to perform routine examinations and provide dental treatment.

Israeli Minister Yossi Peled visits Alumim

During the course of his sojourn in Ukraine‚ Israeli Minister Yossi Peled paid an emotional visit to Alumim. At the various conferences and forums in which Minister Peled subsequently participated‚ he spared no words in describing the tremendous impression left on him by his visit in Alumim.

Two Enjoyable Months in Israel

This year for the very first time‚ children of Alumim visited Israel in a program coordinated with the Chabad Youth Organization in Israel. So far‚ two groups of three children each have had the chance to visit the Holy Land.
New Library opening

A new library has opened for the children of the Alumim dormitory. One of the rooms in the dormitory was converted into a library and tastefully furnished with new bookcases‚ tables and cozy‚ inviting seating areas. The library contains books in Russian and Hebrew‚ children's magazines‚ reference books for schoolwork and board games for lending.
