Jewish day-schools throughout Ukraine held a special art contest on Judaica and Jewish topics. Aharon Schwed, a sixth grader and resident at Alumim , won first prize in his school in Zhitomir, and in the inter-school contest reached the finalsin Odessa.
Aharon shares his experiences at the finale: “This was my first time in Odessa, and I was very excited to go. It was an incredible experience to meet the other contestants, especially because I discovered that some were old friends from summer camp. During the event, everyone exhibited their drawings, and all the contestants were awarded prizes. We were also taken for a special tour of Odessa and visited numerous tourist attractions. It was an amazing event in my life, and I am proud and happy to have won in the contest".
