In the big and small communities of Zhitomir Region with the assistance of the Friendship Fund (Fund Yedidut), and with the participation of the Alumim Home for Jewish Children, the unprecedented campaign as the part of the aid program to the Jewish children from needy, single-parent and difficult families was held.
More than 250 children from Zhitomir, Berdichev, Korostyshev, Chernyahov, Radomyshl, Novograd-Volynsk and Novo-Korovichi received food packages, new clothes (shoes, trousers, sweaters) as a purpose aid.
The most necessary products from the food basket (butter, sugar, flour, bucket, rice, pasta) and fruit, of course, were included into the packages. For effective use of the help received the children were given information on the family clothing stores the organizers had a preliminary agreement with (the lists of children and amount each child could pick items) for the children with their parents could personally come and pick the suitable clothes. Afterwards the organizers distributed the clothes among the people in ward in the building of the Jewish community step by step.
All the children and their parents express their deepest heartfelt gratitude to the Friendship Fund (Fond Yedidut). May G-d bless them in all their actions.
