Triple Bar Mitzvah

09/10/2011
During the Ten Days of Repentance from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur, the children of Alumim took part in a Bar Mitzvah celebration for three boys who had turned thirteen in the past month. The event was combined with a special program dedicated to preparations for Yom Kippur.

The Bar Mitzvah boys celebrated with their relatives and friends with a festive meal and program
in an uplifting atmosphere. The chief Rabbi of Zhitomir, Rabbi Shlomo Wilhelm and other guests attended the event, creating a special atmosphere. They congratulated the Bar Mitzvah boys and expressed their good wishes and taught the participants about the importance and nature of the day.

The excited Bar mitzvah boys also spoke, thanking their friends for participating in celebrating their manhood.  The feeling of comradeship and brotherly love at Alumim was evidenced by the students′ unaffected joy in each other′s celebration and the homey, familial atmosphere.
