A Joyful and Hopeful New School Year

This week marked the beginning of a new school year for our children both in Zhytomyr, Ukraine, and at the Alumim Children’s Center in Israel. Despite the challenges they face, our children stepped into their classrooms with bright smiles, ready to learn and grow.

Zhytomyr, Ukraine

In Zhytomyr, the school year opened with both excitement and resilience. On the very first day, the sound of sirens forced everyone to head to safety. Yet, in true Jewish spirit, the children remained calm, hopeful, and in good spirits. Their joy in being together, learning, and beginning a new chapter in their education was stronger than the fear of the moment. With the dedication of their teachers and the support of our community, we are confident this year will be filled with growth, friendship, and inspiration for them.

Meanwhile, in Israel, the children of Alumim also began their new school year with great success. After a summer enriched with therapeutic, educational, and recreational activities, they walked into their classrooms ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities ahead. Their journey is a living testament to resilience and the power of love, care, and support.

Looking Ahead

Starting a new school year is always a time of hope, dreams, and possibilities. For our children, it is also a symbol of victory over hardship, uncertainty, and the many obstacles they face daily. With Hashem’s help and the continued support of our dear friends and partners, we are determined to give them not only an education but also a childhood filled with joy, security, and meaning.

Let us join together in wishing all of our children both in Zhytomyr and Israel a school year filled with health, success, and blessing. May they continue to shine and bring light to our people and the world.
